New year, new opportunities
The festive season is already a distant memory, the Christmas tree packed up and all the port or eggnog (depending on where you are) finished. The new year has well and truly started, and I expect there are very few resolutions still to be broken! So as we enter this new year, what’s on the horizon for myJournal?
Building on the foundation we laid last year to be the foremost business networking site on the web, we’ve got a lot planned. You can read more details about the features we’re developing over in The Lab, but there are bigger reasons for our continued focus on making myJournal useful for you.
Everyone is aware of the crisis that has hit the world’s financial systems over the last six to twelve months. And I expect most businesspeople have felt the effects of that in their own industry. It seems no-one is safe, and this year will no doubt be a challenging time for many.
But even as we are bombarded with negative press every day such as news of job cuts and businesses folding, there are plenty of opportunities to be had. For one thing, the world is a smaller place than ever thanks to the Internet, and even very small businesses can take advantage of online selling to reach a huge world market.
The problem is, how? That’s where myJournal comes in. You see, we know how the Internet works. We’ve been building websites for a while, and saw that all too often businesspeople – just like you – were just lacking the right tools to really get the best out of the web. We decided we could build those tools, and myJournal is the result.
So if you’re wondering about this online business stuff, if you’re not sure where to start, or you can’t believe that there are new customers and opportunities waiting for you online, myJournal is for you. We help you talk with other people in your industry, set up networks to promote yourself, and allow you to create online showrooms. We’re also constantly looking for great resources to help you, whether you are an old hand online, or just starting out. Best of all, signing up is free.
