myJournal Public Preview Journal

Quick admin menu

Last night I put another small but useful change live on myJournal. We had reports from a few people that they found it difficult getting to the right place to add products, add videos etc. So now, when you’re logged in, you get a series of links directly to the most useful functions in the grey bar at the top of the screen.

The links are:

  • [Your name] – goes to your public profile page
  • Write Journal – goes to the “Add New Post” page in the Contrlol Panel for your site (if you have more than one site it picks the first one you started)
  • Add products – goes to the new product administration screen which is part of your showroom
  • Add photo – goes to the screen in your Control Panel where you can add a photo to your media library
  • Add video – goes to the screen in your Control Panel where you can add a video to your media library
  • Control Panel – goes to the front screen of your Control Panel
  • Log out now – logs you out

That should make it much easier to get to those pages. And remember, when you add products we promote those for you, and the same when you add videos.
