I think Paul is referring to the terms and conditions which stated that Google had "a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive licence to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any content which you submit, post or display on or through the new browser". Slightly worrying for freedom fans. However the terms have since been amended, plenty of news about that including from PC Advisor: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/index.cfm?newsid=103924

Yes it does seem very similar, it even ported (with my permission) my Firefox configs over. I saw your forum post, nothing is for free and no doubt this will include anotehr platform for their advertising and/or services.

"should not be using this browser where the content is not for public consumption"

Could you clarify this, not quite sure I understand you there?

I gave it a try yesterday and I don't see what it's giving me that say Firefox doesn't. However there's some interesting clauses within their terms, I highlighted 11.2 at http://forums.tolranet.com/showthread.php?t=217 as to me it means we should not be using this browser where the content is not for public consumption.
